Greg Koch — Coach. Speaker. Community Leader.
I lead 605 Running Company with a focus on clarity, systems, and long-term sustainability. Whether in retail, event production, or coaching, my work centers on building strong teams, asking better questions, and creating environments where people can grow.

    What I Do

    Retail & Business Leadership

Independent retail is the foundation of everything we do. As owner of 605 Running Company, my responsibility is simple: make sure the business works.

I build and develop our team, create strategic direction, implement systems, and hold us to a high standard of execution. Retail is our bread and butter — it’s how we serve people daily and how we sustain the larger vision.

People know me as the “running store guy,” and I’m proud of that. We create a space where customers feel welcomed, educated, and supported — and where staff members grow into confident leaders.

    My work here is about:

    • Team development

    • Strategic planning

    • System implementation

    • Clear communication

    • Long-term sustainability

    Event Leadership & Community Impact

Our events are where we lift up the broader community.

Through races like Lucky 7’s, Skedaddle, Trail Fest, and others, we create professional, welcoming experiences that go far beyond race day. These events raise significant funds for local causes and amplify stories that matter.

Running is one of the most powerful performative support systems available — people show up, move together, and invest in something bigger than themselves. We make sure that performance doesn’t just elevate individuals, but strengthens the entire community.

Event production for us is not transactional. It’s relational. It’s impact-driven.

    Coaching & Athlete Development

Coaching at 605 is built around culture and connection.

While I don’t maintain a large personal roster of one-on-one athletes, I play an active role in shaping the direction and standards of our coaching team. Our coaches are highly skilled in training design and performance development. My role is to support that expertise through strategic leadership, collaboration, and communication development.

I focus on creating welcoming entry points through group runs, in-store programming, and athlete touchpoints — making sure runners are connected to the right support at the right time.

The goal is simple: build an environment where both coaches and athletes thrive.
